Ok, so there are some poor excuses for not blogging lately, however, I have a good one. Our Internet is working for the first time in almost 2 weeks! I had forgotten how dependent I am on it. Not only for the useful things like paying our bills (I just realized last night we forgot to pay rent because of this!), but for connecting with the outside world while I am stuck inside on a rainy week.

Update on my crafty itch: I got a needlepoint stocking kit to make for Carver! Hopefully it will look like this when I’m done (only with Carver’s name):

Speaking of the little guy, he is basically the best kid in the world. He is so cute and is growing in personality exponentially. We took him to Tallahassee to stay with some friends and he did SO well. He took really long naps, let 2 year old Kat “hold” him and was happy to be passed around and played with.

I should go so I can play with C while K is still sleeping. Before I do, let me leave you with this deal to commemorate my return to blogging:

Fiber One Yogurt is BOGO at Publix this week (starting Thursday, Oct.7). Use 2 of these coupons and it will be free!

Monday-Longest day of the week. Thankfully, Ethan got home a little early last night, but we still didn’t eat dinner until after 10:00 and were (are) exhausted!

Museum-The boys and I took a field trip to the Florida Museum of Natural History yesterday. We average about once a week. We all like the change of scenery, but I don’t want to get to museum-ed out. Any other field trip ideas?

Mrs. Val-Do I want to try and find another kid to watch come January or try to teach pre-school? I think I’m leaning toward the latter.

Making a Christmas stocking for Carver-My new project idea. All the kits I found online look pretty cheesy. I’m hoping I can find something Anna Maria Horner style.

Miss you all (and writing more often)!

I like to take Fridays “off.” That usually means leaving the dishes for Ethan. How is this different than any other day, you ask? Well, as far as dishes go, its not really. Actually, I hate doing dishes. I will clean the whole house, the kitchen and even organize the stack of dishes before I wash a single one. Really, you should see my clean counters and the sink full of dirty dishes.

However, by the end of the week most of the straightening, laundry, grocery shopping, coupon hunting, bill paying and other chores are all tackled, leaving a free day for hobbies, lunch dates and other adventures. That’s not to say I don’t relax the rest of the week. Earlier in the week I laid out by the pool while I waited to switch the laundry over. Fridays are just set aside for whatever Carver and I feel like doing. Last Friday it was cashing in the Lowe’s gift card my momma gave me and gardening!
